Rescued as a child by Texas Jack Omohundro, Texas Jack Junior was instrumental in spreading the legend of the American cowboy to the rest of the world.
They actually had a boy before Hazel. They named him Texas Jack. He was born in Calcutta, India, December 13, 1890 and died of cholera in Chicago in July of 1892. He is buried in Chicago’s Graceland Cemetery along with many of that city’s most prominent citizens. His birth and death records have only recently been discovered, but they are very clear.
